Choose Your Treatment

General guidance to help you get the very best from your treatment. Kae will also talk you through your aftercare at the end of every appointment, so always follow any personal advice she gives you.

Piercing Aftercare

A new piercing is a small wound, so a little care each day helps it heal well. Ear lobes usually settle in 6 to 8 weeks, while cartilage and most facial or body piercings can take several months.

The First 24 To 48 Hours

  • Leave your jewellery in and do not twist or turn it.
  • Always wash your hands before touching the area.
  • Expect a little redness, tenderness or swelling at first. This is normal.

While You Heal

  • Clean twice a day with the aftercare solution provided or a sterile saline spray, then pat dry with clean kitchen roll.
  • Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs and the sea for at least two weeks.
  • Keep hair products, make-up and perfume away from the piercing.
  • Change your pillowcase often and try not to sleep on a new ear piercing.
  • Do not change your jewellery until it has fully healed. Kae can check it and help when you are ready.

Contact Kae if you notice heat, spreading redness, increasing pain or swelling, or any discharge after the first few days. For a severe reaction, difficulty breathing or significant swelling, seek urgent medical help.

Peels & Microneedling Aftercare

Your skin will be more sensitive for a few days while it renews. Some redness, tightness or light flaking is normal and shows the treatment is working.

The First 24 To 48 Hours

  • Do not wear make-up for 24 hours after microneedling.
  • Avoid heat: no saunas, steam rooms, hot baths or intense exercise for 48 hours.
  • Keep your hands away from your face and use a clean pillowcase.

While You Heal

  • Wash with a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water.
  • Use the products Kae recommends and keep your skin well moisturised.
  • Do not pick or peel flaking skin. Let it come away naturally.
  • Wear SPF 30 or higher every day, even when it is cloudy.
  • Avoid retinol, acids, scrubs and exfoliators for about a week, or until Kae advises.

Facials Aftercare

After a facial your skin is clean and receptive, so it is a good time to keep things simple and let it breathe.

The First 24 To 48 Hours

  • Try to go make-up free for the rest of the day.
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms and hot baths for 24 hours.
  • Skip exfoliating products for a couple of days.

While You Heal

  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Follow the home-care routine Kae suggests for your skin type.
  • Wear SPF every day to protect your results.

Lash & Brow Aftercare

Lifts, tints and lamination need a short while to set, so the first day makes the biggest difference to how long your results last.

The First 24 To 48 Hours

  • Keep lashes and brows completely dry for 24 hours: no water, steam, saunas or swimming.
  • Do not rub, touch or sleep face down on them.
  • Avoid mascara, brow products and oil-based cleansers for 24 hours.

While You Heal

  • Brush lashes and brows into shape each morning.
  • A nourishing lash or brow serum or oil can keep hairs healthy.
  • Lifts and lamination usually last 6 to 8 weeks, and tints around 3 to 4 weeks.

Contact Kae if you notice heat, spreading redness, increasing pain or swelling, or any discharge after the first few days. For a severe reaction, difficulty breathing or significant swelling, seek urgent medical help.

Microblading Aftercare

Microblading heals in stages over around four weeks. The colour will look darker at first, then soften, and may look patchy before it settles. A top-up appointment perfects the final result.

The First 24 To 48 Hours

  • Gently blot away any fluid with clean tissue during the first day.
  • Keep brows dry: avoid showering directly on them, swimming, saunas and heavy sweating.
  • Do not apply make-up or creams to the area unless Kae has given you a balm to use.

While You Heal

  • Do not pick, scratch or rub the brows as they flake. Let them heal naturally.
  • Keep out of direct sun and avoid sunbeds while healing.
  • Avoid facials, peels and brow treatments until fully healed.
  • Book your top-up for around 6 to 8 weeks after your first session.

Contact Kae if you notice heat, spreading redness, increasing pain or swelling, or any discharge after the first few days. For a severe reaction, difficulty breathing or significant swelling, seek urgent medical help.

Massage Aftercare

Feeling relaxed, a little tired or slightly achy after a massage, especially a deep tissue or sports massage, is normal and usually passes within a day or two.

The First 24 To 48 Hours

  • Drink plenty of water over the rest of the day.
  • Take it easy and avoid heavy training for 24 hours after a deep tissue or sports massage.
  • A warm bath or shower can help ease any tenderness.

While You Heal

  • Keep up any stretches or exercises Kae has shown you.
  • Leave kinesiology tape on for as long as advised and remove it gently if it irritates.
  • Book regular sessions to keep muscles moving well and support your recovery.
